Heart Reef
Heart Reef, in the Great Barrier Reef of the Whitsundays, is a stunning composition of coral that has naturally formed into the shape of a heart. Located in Hardy Reef, Heart Reef is best experienced from the air by helicopter or seaplane, as visitors are unable to snorkel or dive there due it’s protected status. -

South Molle Island
South Molle Island is located in the heart of the Whitsundays. South Molle Island is the largest of the Molle Island Group. South Molle is a hilly island with grasslands, lush pockets of rainforest, secluded bays and fringing reefs. The Molle Islands are virtually joined along a causeway so you can walk across to Mid Molle Island at low tide. -

White Haven Beach

Hydeaway Bay
Hydeaway Bay Beach is on the coast of the Whitsundays, around 45 minutes drive north of the tourist town of Airlie Beach. The beach at Hydeaway Bay is a lovely sandy beach over 1.5 kilometres long. Perfect for hiking, coastal drives and beach chilling. -

Boathaven Beach
It’s not every day that a town gets a new beach, but Airlie Beach is proud to announce the opening of the brand new Boathaven Beach! Part of the new Port of Airlie development, Boathaven Beach is situated on the new peninsula known as The Beacons, and boasts 60,000 cubic metres of soft, white sand, a northerly aspect and is the area’s first true all-tide beach. -

Honey Eater Walk
If it’s a spectacular view you’re after – beginning off Kara Crescent – is the Honeyeater Lookout hike. Though the hike is difficult at stages, this four hour return trip is well worth the effort as upon reaching the summit hikers are rewarded with aerial views of Airlie Beach out to the Whitsunday Islands. -
