If it’s a spectacular view you’re after – beginning off Kara Crescent – is the Honeyeater Lookout hike. Though the hike is difficult at stages, this four hour return trip is well worth the effort as upon reaching the summit hikers are rewarded with aerial views of Airlie Beach out to the Whitsunday Islands.

Part of the new Port of Airlie development, Boathaven Beach is situated on the new peninsula known as The Beacons, and boasts 60,000 cubic metres of soft, white sand, a northerly aspect and is the area’s first true all-tide beach.
